The 22nd Inter-Company Relay(ICR) was held on 28th May 2022 at the Heroes Stadium in Lusaka, Zambia. It was organized by Zambia Athletics (ZA) and co-sponsored by Good Times Steel Company and Madison Financial Service (MFS). Nearly 1,000 people including Zambian President Hakainde Hickilema, government departments, representatives of local and Chinese companies, and representatives of social organizations participated in the event.
The Inter-Company Relay has been held for more than 20 years continuously. It advocates health to develop a healthy lifestyle, integrates into local culture, and enhances cultural exchanges and communication. The theme of the event in this year was Building a Stronger and Healthier Zambia.
Mr. Li Tie, the Chairman of Camco Group with Chinese and Zambian employees participated in the 5,000-meter Health Walk. Camco Equipment (Zambia) Ltd. also set up a stand to display products. Zambian President Hakainde Hickilema participated in the 5,000-meter Health Walk as the team leader and encouraged the participants to live a healthy life and actively participate in national construction, which stimulated the vitality and enthusiasm of local and Chinese companies to participate in sports.
Mr. Li Tie, the Chairman of Camco Group, hopes that employees can actively participate in social activities, and integrate into local society to enrich cultural life.
