Ambassador Han Jing first expressed his welcome to the visit of the leadership of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Zambia and fully affirmed the various work carried out by the Chamber of Commerce and its support for the Embassy's work. Ambassador Han emphasized that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Zambia, and now is a relatively good period in the history of China-Zambia relations. Ambassador Han pointed out that the friendship between the two countries is mainly reflected in three levels: political exchanges at the top, people-to-people connections at the bottom, and pragmatic economic and trade cooperation in the middle. He hoped that the Chamber of Commerce would leverage its advantages to unite private enterprises and support each other. Ambassador Han stressed that enterprises should establish close relationships with the local government and people, which is not only the foundation for enterprise development but also the basis for bilateral relations.

Ambassador Han stated that after the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, especially with the launch of high-quality projects such as the activation of the Tanzania Zambia Railway, it has provided excellent development opportunities for Chinese enterprises in Zambia. He hopes that private enterprises can seize the policy opportunities to grow larger and stronger. In response to the main challenges and problems currently faced by private enterprises in Zambia raised by President Li, the embassy is willing to work with the Chamber of Commerce and other overseas Chinese communities to solve the problems and support the healthy development of Chinese private enterprises in Zambia.

Regarding the issue of public security, Ambassador Han said that the embassy is very concerned about this issue and is closely communicating and cooperating with local government departments. He hopes to combine forces from all sides to provide a safer living and business environment for Chinese in Zambia.

Ambassador Han said that it is necessary to establish a regular communication mechanism between the embassy and the overseas Chinese communities, to timely understand the situation of the overseas Chinese and the people, and to promptly solve the problems faced by overseas Chinese enterprises and individuals.
