On June 4, the signing ceremony between Deyuan Group and Deren Sifang Talent Group and the unveiling ceremony of Zambia Shuangde College were held at Shandong Sifang Technician College. This is another breakthrough of Deren Sifang Talent Group's unique advantages of "human resources + vocational education + internationalization" after the Deren Training Center in Guinea, and it is also a pragmatic move to implement the "Belt and Road" and serve Chinese companies going overseas.
At the ceremony, Li Tie, Chairman and General Manager of Deyuan Group, and Zhang Bin, Chairman of Shandong Deren Sifang Talent Group and President of Shandong Sifang Technician College, signed a cooperation agreement. Han Jing, Deputy General Manager of Deyuan Group, and Li Weiling, Deputy Chairman of Shandong Deren Sifang Talent Group, jointly unveiled the Shuangde College. Gao Haipeng, Deputy General Manager of Deyuan Heavy Industry (Shandong) Co., Ltd. of Deyuan Group, and members of the leadership team and middle-level managers of Deren Sifang Talent Group and Shandong Sifang Technician College attended the unveiling ceremony.
Chairman Zhang Bin extended a warm welcome to Chairman Li Tie and his delegation, and introduced the group's human resources services and overseas education. He mentioned that at the end of 2023, at the invitation of Chairman Li Tie, the group went to Zambia, Africa, to conduct in-depth research on local governments, Chinese companies, Sino-Zambian joint ventures, training institutions, and vocational schools. Through the unremitting efforts of both parties, from facility construction to teacher allocation, from curriculum design to teaching management, careful planning and repeated demonstration have led to today's results.
Chairman Zhang Bin said that Shuangde College will become an international, standardized and modern vocational college in Zambia, cultivating much-needed skilled personnel for enterprises, injecting new impetus into Zambia's development, and using vocational education as a link to achieve global sharing of high-quality educational resources.
Chairman Li Tie thanked Deren Sifang Talent Group for its high trust in Deyuan Group. He mentioned that Deren Sifang Talent Group has a very strong sense of social responsibility and hopes that Shuangde College can become a college that is deeply respected by the African people, improves the lives of local people, and plays a great role in the employment of young people. He hopes to give full play to the advantages of both sides and set a model for China-Africa bilateral cooperation, especially in vocational education cooperation. At the same time, we can also expand our experience to more African countries and benefit more young people in African countries.
Shuangde College President Yu Xujiao said that the management team of Shandong Sifang Technician College will be integrated into the Zambia team of Shuangde College as soon as possible, gradually standardize the teaching process, improve teaching standards, and at the same time find more high-quality jobs so that more local Zambian youths can become better because of Shuangde College, and strive to make the management model of Shuangde College a distinctive sample of local vocational education.
It is reported that Deyuan Group has been rooted in Zambia for 26 years and is one of the largest Chinese trading companies in Zambia. 80% of its employees are local people. It has made outstanding contributions to the local economic development in the import and export of agricultural and engineering machinery. At the same time, it has made preliminary explorations and practices in vocational training, laying a solid foundation for the development of Shuangde College.
At present, the construction of Zambia Shuangde College has achieved phased results. Simon Sakala, vice president of Shuangde College, came to China for exchanges and studies from May 8 to May 24, 2024. He inspected and discussed with the Chinese team on the curriculum setting, professional construction, and employment enterprises of modern vocational education. The management team and teaching team of Shandong Sifang Technician College will also go to Zambia to start work before the end of June.
In recent years, Shandong Deren Sifang Talent Group and Shandong Sifang Technician College have served the country's "Belt and Road" initiative and supported the "going global" development strategy of Chinese-funded enterprises, continuously deepened international exchanges and cooperation, and gradually improved the level of internationalization of education. In 2021, the Guinea Deren Training Center was established, opening a new era for the school's overseas education. The unveiling of the Zambia Shuangde College will carry the expectations and commitments of both parties and inject new vitality into the "going global" of Chinese vocational education.
