On the evening of 19th January, 2022, Mr. Li Tie, chairman of CAMCO Group, participated in the live interview program of Zambia Prime TV station as a guest. The program was organized by the Zambia - China Friendship Association. The theme of the interview was how to promote the development of trade and investment in Zambia. The program focused on opportunities and challenges of trade and investments between two countries, emphasizing benefits of value addition, employment creation, corporate social responsibilities.
The Secretary General of Zambia-China Friendship Association (ZCFA) Mr. Fredrick Mutes, Vice President of Zambia-China Business Association (ZCBA) Mr.Elias Mpondela, and General Manager of Good Time Steel Mr. Huang Jibo, were other discussants on the programme.
Mr. Li Tie, Chairman of CAMCO Group, said that CAMCO Group has always been committed to providing customers with high-quality agricultural equipment, improving the value of agricultural products, to promote agricultural mechanization in Zambia. In the field of skills training, CAMCO College provides more development and employment opportunities for Zambian youths. In the field of social responsibility, CAMCO Group also makes contributions to the society, donating anti-epidemic materials to local police, hospitals and communities to support local people in fighting the epidemics and pandemics such as Covid-19. As one of the best investment destinations in Africa, Zambia has great investment prospects. Mr. Li Tie went on to put forward suggestions for the government to attract foreign investment.
Mr. Frederick Mutters, Secretary General of Zambia-China Friendship Association, said that the association has built a bridge for non-governmental communication between Zambia and China. The association will continue to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries to achieve mutual benefit
The discussion was of great interest as it clearly came out that there are more mutual benefits in working together accruing to the citizenry of the two countries; China and Zambia.
